The Homebrew Menu is the launcher that most Switch homebrew runs through. It is original software written by the switchbrew project, distributed as an NRO file under the ISC licence, and it contains no Nintendo code of any kind.

What belongs in this section

Everything in the NSWPEDIA downloads section meets the same test: the copyright holder has released it under a licence that permits redistribution, or it has passed into the public domain. That covers homebrew games and utilities, open-source tools, and public-domain software. It does not cover commercial games, system firmware or encryption keys, none of which we host or link to.

Verifying what you download

Every entry records its licence, its upstream source repository and the version we checked. Downloads point at the project’s own release page rather than a mirror, so you are always getting files from the authors themselves and can verify signatures or hashes against what upstream publishes.
